Sur La Mer

Calangute :

Calangute is also known as Queen of Beaches.

The beach here is very good to look for hours sitting at the beach side Shack's, enjoying your drink and food.

Remember that the beach drops pretty rapidly into the sea over here. So be cautious.
A lot of beach activities go around here around the day and over the night too, such as Dolphin rides, power boating, para sailing, water surfing etc.

Anjuna Beach :

Famous throughout Goa for its Wednesday Flea market, Anjuna is beaches paradise. And is one of the less crowded beaches, though very close to Baga. It is a much safer beach to swim than Baga and Calangute, and the most favorite pastime is watching the setting sun.

Also it is famous for its trance parties and full moon parties, which go on till early morning or may be 24 hours. The most famous and biggest Full Moon Party takes place during the Christmas full moon, where international Dj's perform with latest trance and rave mixes from London. You should also take care of belongings, during the parties, as theft is a big problem.

While on the beach you can enjoy fresh fruits and coconuts from the local vendors.

Dona Paula Beach :

Dona paula is located on the scenic headland between the Zuari and Mandovi rivers. It is named after Dona Paula de Menezes, whose tombstone can be seen at the chapel in Cabo.

The various myths associated to Dona Paula has earned it the epitaph of "Lover's Paradise".

The Dauna Paula Bay is located at a spectacular site, where Goa's two most famous rivers Zuari and Mandovi meet the Arabian Sea and is an important tourist attraction.

Ferry service is available between Dona Paula Jetty and Mormugao, except during the monsoons. Water-scooter and boat rides are also available.

Baga Beach :

Baga and Calangute can hardly be differentiated, but the beach at Baga is better and more interesting. The backwaters flow from Arpora is amazing view to watch, especially during the eve and nights.

A fresh rivulet also named as Baga, merges into the sea here, making the location quite scenic and interesting.

It is believed that the sand at the Baga beach is endowed with some natural curative properties, hence one can see many people smearing the wet sand on their body. Lush paddy fields and red tiled houses grace the scenic route along the river towards Anjuna.

A lot of Rajasthani or Gujarati females are seen around who artistically tattoo your body with henna color.

Vagator Beach :

Vagator is one of the most beautiful and interesting part of Goa's Coastline. It is the most photographed beach in Goa. Although Popular it is one of the exotic and remote beaches in Goa.

At the tip of the headland are sea-washed rocky outcrops which provide enough privacy for lovers and others who want to be left alone. Towards the south are more rocky outcrops, sandy patches and interesting tidal pools.

Morjim Beach

This quiet beach lies just north of the Chapora river and can be reached by taking a shot detour off the coast road from Chapora.

Morjim beach is quite and secluded, not many tourists have been able to explore this wonderful site. Peace and tranquility reigns here, which makes it an ideal spot. Just walk a couple of kilometres in either direction along the beach and you will be in the lap of mother nature, where sand, sea and sky blend in enchanting natural harmony. The crystal clear water is swimmer's paradise.

The breath taking view of the sea and setting of sun from the cliff at one end is worth watching.

Luxurious Sur La Mer is located amidst the natural surroundings around this quite, scenic and beautiful beach.

Palolem Beach :

One of the most beautiful beaches of Goa, Palolem lies far south of Goa. It is a white sand beach with calm water.

The crystal clear water is swimmer's paradise. The breath taking view of the sea from the cliff at one end is worth watching. And at another end is the Canacona Island.

Swimming and sun bathing can be enjoyed here in complete isolation.
